Clarion University alum La-Aja Wiggins Hernandez 鈥�06 won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding
Live & Direct to Tape Sound Mixing on the Price is Right in 2020.
Hernandez grew up in the Hill District in Pittsburgh with her three sisters and her
single mother, who at the time was addicted to drugs. Through perseverance, Hernandez
earned a college scholarship at Clarion. Upon graduation, she studied at the Video
Symphony Pro School of Media Production in Burbank, California, where she honed her
skills as an editor. She worked on a variety of TV shows such as 鈥淎merican Idol,鈥�
鈥淎merica鈥檚 Got Talent鈥� and 鈥淭he Talk鈥� before landing a job with 鈥淭he Price is Right,鈥�
where she works as a full-time editor.
