Thinking about college or training after high school but not sure where to begin? helps students explore their options and take the next steps with confidence. At ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø, Talent Search offers guidance, tutoring, mentoring, and workshops designed to help you build skills, understand your choices, and plan a path that fits your goals.

TRIO Talent Search supports students who live in Clarion, Jefferson, and Venango counties. Services are offered through the ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Clarion campus.

 

Talent Search Fast Facts

  • Open to students in grade six through adult learners
  • Helps participants complete high school and enroll in college, career training, or technical programs
  • Supports 835 students each year, with eligibility set by the
  • Federally funded by the U.S. Department of Education through 2026
  • 65% of ºÚ°µ±¬ÁÏÍø Talent Search students enroll in postsecondary education
  • 66% of 2019 Talent Search graduates completed a degree or certificate

Talent Search Program Services

  • Study Skills and Academic Support: Help with reading, writing, study strategies, and course success
  • College and Career Exploration: Learn about majors, careers, apprenticeships, and training programs
  • SAT Preparation and Financial Aid Guidance: 
    • Support with test preparation
    • Information on FAFSA, scholarships, and planning for college costs
  • Leadership and Personal Development: Workshops that build confidence and strengthen decision-making
  • Campus Visits and Enrichment Activities: College tours and experiences that help you see your future options more clearly
